We spoke to Mazen from the Operations Team, to find out more about the kind of fruits they import and about their view on the organic trend in the region.
What natural/organic products do you import into the Middle East?
As manufacturers, we get our natural fruits imported from various parts of the world. We use these as ingredients for our products.
Can you tell me about the demand for organic/natural products in the region? What is the latest trend that you see in such products?
We can see that the demand for natural products increasing more and more as the years go by. Moreover, we find that Vegan products are very trendy.
Why should people go organic/natural according to you?
Natural and organic products preserve more nutrients, that’s what makes a big difference. Also, there is a sense of responsibility when you buy organic products, as you ensure that you are also taking care of the land and preserving it for next generation.
Where do you import your ingredients from, and how much of a role does certification play in your decision?
We import from Europe and the Americas. Certification is important to make sure that we are getting what we are paying for.
Do you have private label products?
As of now we do not, however it forms a large part of our future plans.
From where and/or what products would you like to source more?
We would like to source more exotic fruits from South America.
