Organic Oasis farms provides Organic Fruits and vegetables, Farm Fresh Free-range eggs & specialty organic produce in the country. We interviewed Sheikha Al Muhairy, founder, on the organic industry in the region.
What type of natural/organic products do you sell in the Middle East?
We sell mainly organic fruits and vegetables such as marrow, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes among others. Depending on the season and availability, fruits such as Rock Melons and Watermelons are also available. We also distribute other organic products such as drinks, and food supplements.
In your opinion, how popular is the organic industry in the UAE and the Middle East?
The Organic Industry is becoming more popular nowadays as more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of eating healthy and organic produce.
Why, in your opinion, do people prefer buying organic nowadays?
People nowadays prefer buying organic products due to the numerous health benefits and the organic produce is now closer to their sources.
How do you determine the products to sell in this market?
First, we coordinate with the retail outlets and discuss their requirements as per their forecast. From there, we plan and determine the types, quantity of items to be delivered to each specific retail shop.
